RoboGym Robotics recently attended the FIRST Robotics Competition World Championships in Houston TX. The team were placed in the Curie division with 74 other teams from around the world. Over the 4 day competition, the team ranked 6th overall with a record of 8-2, and became the 5th seeded alliance captain. They went 0–2 in the playoffs.
Over the 4 day event, the team worked together with other teams to strategize each match. They build friendships with teams from around the world, and gained valuable experience from top teams. They also had opportunities to tour other Houston area teams facilities, visit the NASA Johnson Space Center, go bowling as a team, and take in the sites of Houston. They came away with many ideas and motivation to return.
